SM and USUM were mediocre at best. Pokemon fans are drones and will buy games regardless of their quality so long as its labeled "Pokemon".
Gamefreak has been making the exact same game for twenty years, ironically with each iteration from generation 6 they've been getting worse and worse because Gamefreak figured out that they don't have to try anymore.

Do we have a name/phrase for the opposite of review bombing? The ones for the people giving games 10/10 to spite other people that didn't like the game or give it 10/10 because "I LOVE POKEMON!! :D"
