Is this the ultimate pokemon machine? With CFW setup you can play anything from Gen I to Gen VII all in a single device and without any third party device.

Its comfier to hold than a lite and has a slightly bigger screen without going full retard like the XL does.
But any DS system is a better option than playing it on a 3DS so you don't get that blurry mess, if you are in the market for one go with the DSi.

Dunno about trading, but you can look out for injected CIAs of nearly any GBA game. They install like 3DS games and run natively in DS mode, so there's no emulation involved.

Update to the latest version and see if that works. I didn't need to patch anything, I use my clean ROMs dumped from my original carts. I did enable game patching on Luma settings though, I think it is required for that.

For now yes, but Switch can also emulate Gen I through Gen 5 with CFW, and has access to Gen 8+ natively. Plus you can play them on TV.
I wonder if 3DS emulation will ever see the light of day on it though, it's not like 3DS is that high specs, since Switch can already run PSP games, it shouldn't be out of the question. Then it would be the go to Pokemon machine.

Emulation most of the time isn't a matter of specs of the original, but accuracy and complexity. PS2 is steeply outdated in terms of horsepower, yet it is a complicated piece of machinery to emulate and requires some decent juice.
I guess it would need a dedicated team to work something for it but I can see it relevating the 3DS some day as the ultimate pokemon machine.

Thought maybe the cheap screen ribbon connector was loose. But that wasn't it either. Nintendo, wanted 80 fucking dollars and S&H to fix a defective unit.
I would have found the problem earlier, but I still played on my original 3DS. I put maybe a total of 50 hours on it over that 12 months. Paint was still shiny on it.

You've installed the .cia from that thread? Then start the TWPatcher. Hold left or right to keep the menu from disappearing. Select the filter you want, hit start and let it do it's thing. After that turn off the 3DS, hold select + power, and enable"Enable loading external firm FIRMs and modules". Done.

With CFW you can inject any GBA game into VC.

The cool thing about GBA games on the 3DS is they run natively, and they aren't emulated. The DS had the necessary GBA hardware built in, and so when they made the 3DS backwards compatible, they had to cram GBA hardware into the system. It runs the same as if you were playing a GBA game on the DS or GBA.

I wouldn't know in comparison to the new models but mines been going strong and it's a good size. Plus when I emulate ds games the smaller screen matches up better with the DS screen so there is less empty black space

nothing, I hacked it almost a year ago and from a month ago the games started to come out with that error, I thought it was an SD bug so I bought another one, but then another error came out of the console, so I had to erase those games and reinstall them, after that they work fine, but the moon pokemon is still screwed, I don't know if they saved the save data or something
