Pokemon Special used to have a system where it ran in two monthly magazines at once, sometimes branching out into a third temporarily. For example, you know how in the collected graphic novels of gen 3, Ruby and Sapphire would alternate as the focus character every few chapters? In the original publication, the Ruby arcs would be running in one magazine, while the other magazine had the Sapphire arcs. It caused things to be out of order sometimes, but it generally worked. Then the magazines that ran Pokemon Special were discontinued a year or two into BW, so now the series only runs in one monthly magazine and one magazine that comes out once every few months.

The plots of special are better than the games. Pokemon like Zygarde get a chance to shine even if the 3rd version is not made.

The plot is still pretty generic and you largely know what to expect due to the games. It isn't worth years of waiting unless you -really- like the personalities Kusaka comes up with for the player characters.

At least the Yellow saga was original, while RGB and GSC had twists.

Eh once BW2 wraps up, which is just one more volume, it should be easy going from there. All the extra content for the XY arc is already made and ready to be printed with the full volumes.

Pokemon has almost always been yearly and he's been able to manage despite that.

It's just he slipped up and fell behind once, *once* and hasn't been able to recover since. Now there's always 2-3 arcs running concurrently.

Why do remakes even need their own arcs? They don't affect the anime much. It maybe just has one episode and introduces a Pokemon related to the remakes into the main cast, then continues like normal.

Kusaka is forced to make arcs for remakes too + too many games released too fast = the manga has been having trouble since Gen 4 finishing arcs in a timely manner before new games come out and stuff gets rushed or delayed.

Alright, I'll try to make a quick rundown of all the events in SM that are being held back for volume releases. Some of them may be already covered in this last magazine chapter, but until scanlations or a summary of the raws come out, this is how it looks:

Well, the least I could ask for (aside from killing BW2 already) is for the next characters to be comfy. The last three pairs of MCs have been fucking horseshit (X is an edgelord, Y is a whore, Lack-Two is a garbage human being, Whi-Two is completely useless, Sun can't do jack shit without screwing something and Moon is a smartass) and let me not even get started on the bastardization that the BW and RS MCs got.

Just let these two be fun. No more edgy shit, no more despicable characters and definitely no more uselessness.

We might get one about how Y captured Eeevee. It appeared all of a sudden.

So if we assume these 7 chapters are collected and an 8th one about capturing eevee is included then i hope the remaining four deal have something of coumarine city, kiloude city (even the anime ignored it lol) , the battle maison maybe, maybe volcanion (or Volcanion could be left for ORAS), etc.
