base gameplay is intact so its still fun.
wild area is nice though somewhat laggy when online
parts of the game feel rushed.
no hidden routes/caves/dungeons/side content(contests/musicals) make post-game just raid battles & breeding/trading/online battles.
Wouldn't recommend it, but hey its Pokemon.

I'm in Circhester city. Fighting the gym right now. The game already feels like it is nearly over. This time the story really just feels like an extended tutorial.
The wild area and seeing all the trainers online with raids and the other quality of life improvements and stuff has me excited to actually try to be competitive. Sure, the ingame trainers may be easy but I bet the online trainers are going to be hard as fuck to defeat.
Most of the games after Silver I pretty much played to E4 with a tiny bit of postgame and thats it.
On recent plays of the 3DS games and stuff like XD on Dolphin I was too strict with wanting to cherry pick favourite mons and nickname them. This time I nicknamed nobody and I'm ruthlessly hoarding / selecting my most deadly warriors.
The game feels noticably unpolished and shitty compared to past titles which is sad. The future of Pokemon from here is going to be weird.

It's pretty good. There are some real nice designs and some gym leaders were an actual threat. Just beat the fairy gym.

It's alright. I beat the game and it's got some cool ideas and concepts, and I really like some of the new Pokemon and Galarian forms, but the game as a whole is quite barebones, the region's horrendous to explore (as in, there's nothing), and for every cool idea they take another step back or said cool idea is just poorly executed.
