Baby Pokemon are back. So they're not a completely dead concept anymore.

Whatever. Its a baby Pokemon thread.

I'm a wee little disappointed that we didn't get any new types to the roster. Or more than just one new baby. It'll be fun to see how Toxel fits in the baby metagame.

I really wish he didn't have a diaper, it ruins the whole design. the tail makes it look lumpy from most angles which is really gross

To be a "Baby" Pokemon, the qualification is that it can't be obtained in the wild within its release generation, except from breeding its evo with an incense of a particular type, in Gen 4, or in Gen 2 by just eggs. For example, one did not catch a Pichu in Gen 2, they bred two Pikachu for one. Toxel is, sadly, not a baby mon. Sorry.

Baby Pokemon are first stages that can't breed and aren't legendary or mythical. A lot were added to their evolutionary lines in later generations, but Togepi, Riolu, and Toxel were not.
