Older Pokemon lore where it was just our world, but Pokemon in it and they didn't outright replace animals was far more interesting. A shame the 3rd movie that was gonna explore this but they chickened out from it over the dumbest reasons, and nuPokemon is just "Pokemon isn't our world but it's basically it and Pokemon are gods now".
>>41394345>>41394493>>41395893Not the first Anon, but it definitely seems like in early Pokemon the implication was Pokemon were new creatures that originated from Space. My theory with how they would've taken it (if they continued down that direction) is that Pokemon were ayy lmaos (maybe mews?) that come to Earth, and adapt to our world and changed to take shape and better "fit in". It would explain why Pokemon are all technically a single species, and how there are Pokemon based on human concepts.
Black/White even lightly touch upon the idea oddly enough, of Pokemon being created based on concepts as opposed to vice versa, but it's never touched and I doubt nuPokemon will ever truly explore it in any serious manner.
