>>41398361They really do need more mini-games, credit where it's due Mantine Surfing was a nice little distraction but one does not really cut it. I don't mind if the minigames are relatively short or what not as long as they break up the pacing. One of the things I'd like to see them do is turn Gym Challenges into mini-games, it means that you can expand on the concept of each gym challenge but also not make it annoyingly mandatory for players, like take the ones from Galar.
Wooloo herding especially given the idea of how Wooloo would react to Pokemon like Yamper and Nickit would be interesting especially since it would add to Turrfield's character by showing how Wooloo herding has a somewhat unique way of being herded compared to real life sheep herding. For Nessa's Gym with the water pipes you could have an optional dungeon that takes place in like the sewers of Motostoke or something that is the same premise but way more difficult with more pipe colours to pay attention to and a global set of switches as opposed to a localized set like the gym has to make things more complex.
Kabu's Gym Challenge could basically be a new way to do the Safari Zone, having other trainers competing alongside the player it'd sort of bring back the competitiveness of the Bug-Catching Contest but with way more variety. Bea/Allister's would be an interesting way to just do an isolated mini-game, perhaps as a replacement for the game corner the player would compete in it to earn BP and having the puzzle expand with more variables to each pachinko board.
Opal and Raihan don't really have gym challenges persay they're just battle orientated stuff so maybe having Battle Facilities in the Post-Game based around their Gym Challenges could work. Gordie/Melony's one with the pitfalls would be interesting as another optional dungeon, sort of like a Sky Pillar sort of dungeon giving the bike some utility but it'd be an ice cavern perhaps with puzzles akin to Seafoam Islands.
