That's all well and good but he can't do any damage outside the incredibly rare occasions when the AI uses the right kind of move before he uses Counter or Mirror Coat, which out of all the raid battles I've done with him has only ever happened once, so if you get something with 5 shields he's completely and utterly worthless.

What, single player is already better than multi.
Just levelup Eternatus to 100, increase its SpA, slap choice specs on it and spam dynamax cannon, sludge bomb if it's a fairy and flamethrower if it's steel.

You can even turn off animations and the battle gets quite fast even if it lasts 3 turns, which is still better than waiting for other people and waiting for battle animations on a 2 turn multiplayer raid.
Also it takes nothing to invest on getting a minmaxed Eternatus, I have made it modest and invested on speed for the overkill.

Yes. I was a retard and didn't think to save before it so I could keep resetting until it got in. Made the same mistake the second time because I couldn't tell the sprite apart from regular Corviknight and thought it was one of those. Think I managed to do that one solo and it still broke out.

Luckily I don't need to spam the Wild Area anymore until after I get Eternatus and can kill everything with ease. Main reason I was there for so long was to grind for fossils, but with the help of an anon and the Digging Duo not being completely worthless for a change I managed to get the fourth fossil today. I'm also a bit weary about connecting to the internet in the Wild Area unless I absolutely need help (like with a Discharge mon) or it's something special somebody else might want due to the brickings and shit and the idea that the Wild Area online uses a solid state component as RAM. Whether or not that's actually true I don't know, but switches aren't cheap here and I don't want to lose my Dracovish nor do I have the hacking capability to back up the save.

Ids 43 or higher are rare spawns, i.e. the only show up in pink/purple swirly solid beams, where Ids 42 and lower are common spawns and only show up from red beams. Each den has a rare spawn table and a common spawn table. So, for example the west-most den in hammerlock hills just before you reach the cliff uses spawn table 23 for common, red beams and 73 for rare, pink beams (both tables give ice types, only 73 gives glaceon.)

tl;dr a number of rarer mons are exclusive to purple beams.

It's possible that the purple spawns give better item drops but you would need to double check that, it could be the same on average. and

If you change your system time to change the weather the game punishes you in pretty minor ways (pokejobs restart, raids don't reset at midnight, stow-on-side shop doesn't advance, possibly others)

Not really, all attacks will break 1 bar, dynamax attacks 2.
But really heavy damage (aka Eternatus/Zacian) will deal decent damage through the shield, despite only breaking 1 bar.

You’ll always have to deal with the barrier and the defenses. I find if you use a move like rock blast at the end of the barrier it seems to be pretty effective as it’ll knock the barrier down then continue to attack.

Oh I more meant when you do an attack that should take off like 50% of the target's health, but they were on 76% and thus it only does 1% damage because they hit the 75% threshold and everything stops so they can put up a barrier and your attack was effectively wasted.

Wel you can save scum the den until it's a rare den, but that's it.
Turn your text to slow, save in front of the spot and toss the piece, if it isnt a rare den press home button and restart the game. The game doesnt save until the whole text has appeared

Anyone else notice that you normally get 4 IV when it comes to 5-star raids, even for G-Pokémon.
The even is an exception though. The incredibly powerful even Pokémon are actually 5 IV, always, and level 70.

Gotta start getting them for real now so that I have at least one with HA and one normal each.

Yeah, its spawn rate is kind of busted. I haven't even been doing a lot of den clearing and solo raiding and still found 7 of them. And only two Centiskorch.
Just don't get me started on joining others for Sandaconda or Drednaw. They just don't stay in the ball no matter what.

Zazcian is completely busted. I push the HP of the raided Pokémon so far down while it has its first shield up that it activates the second, basically a refresh, and still actually kill it while the second shield is still up.
The signature move is ridiculous and might actually be broken. Let's hope they don't fix that. Eternatus is a joke in comparison.

They fucking need to patch this shit so the AI have better teams and movepools for the higher stars. Raids are fun as fuck at 1 or 2 stars, usually at 3, but anything beyond that with the AI is borderline impossible without (and sometimes even with) Zacian/Eternatus which means you can't use your bros and have a hope of winning, which completely ruins it.

I've only had a few fights where I had to pull out the legendary on solo, or drag a friend or two to disable AI's, otherwise using my bro's for super effective/nulling damage taken still works.

The most notable are Contrary Malamar (You outright NEED pokemon to get rid of that stat boost from barrier breaks), Gardevoir (So. Many. Barriers. Endless stat resets too.), and Toxapex (5 attacks...5 GOD DAMN ATTACKS PER TURN ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME).

Also on notable "This is kinda BS' is Calm mind x4 Indeedee's on turn 1 and then OHKO'ing everyone not outright immune towards it's attacks. That was fun.

Beyond those though I've used stuff like fucking Pangoro, Runerigus, Weavile, and Toxtricity just fine for clearing out most 5*'s without real effort.

In the long run I think it's still a better investment to get all the tools for breeding. BP grinding is really slow in this game (unless I'm missing something) so I don't want to have to bottle cap and nature mint absolutely everything.

For those without online, if you can get a decent clefable you can most of the time carry shitter npcs.

I use Moonblast/Life Dew/Moonlight/Follow Me and just tank everything.

Also good to protect people underleveled/ using sweepers, but isn't able to protect against aoe damage. (IE: Galvantula, Mudsdale raids.)

Use dreepy, Drakloak and Dragapult for example - they have 38 and 64. So at Axew raid they spawn with the regular red beam and the special lights?

But at Rolling fields 64 they only appear with the pink/swirly light?

click on the picture at the bottom.
find your den in the hammerlocke hills list.
it has the common ID of 19 and the rare ID of 53.
therefore, to answer your question, you cannot even get chamander and charmeleon without a rare purple spawn. the same is true of den 77

Rate ups. Which have worked well for Sanda/centi/corv/dread/butterfree. Not a great alternative, but far more reasonable. I'm sure they'll also be doing the rate ups at a better time schedule than what's going on for the current ones. These are probably just up for so long to get past christmas buyers and stuff
