They're fun the first few times. It gets pretty tedious with the rare ones since there's a forced barrier mechanic to prevent you one-shotting them.

No, they're slow and tedious because of how the game has to slowly cycle through every mon for group effects and there is no tactics or depth to them either. It's quite literally just bring in the mon in your box with the best match up vs the raid target and spam your highest damage attack on it until it dies.
On top of that the EXP candies are mobage tier EXP boosting that sucks away even the need to actually train off of fighting pokemon because they give you fucktons of EXP and too many of them as rewards for the raids.

you NEED to farm them over and over to get loterally everything since it's the only way to get HA and all the best moves are not TMs anymore but one use items and other shit. it gets super stale as soon as you realize you can just spam one botton with zacian/eternatus

Its because animations are forced on in multiplayer. Playing it solo with no animations makes a raid go fast. Doesn't lose the tediousness though.

They are my favorite part of the game, but the majority of the time I can’t link to online raids and none appear in my wild area. Which forces me to spend points to buy the item that activates a raid battle (I don’t know the English name, Japanese player).

People always passed off stuff like battle facilities in platinum saying it was too hard to get decent pokemon for it but this seems no different.

I fucking wish it was Masters co-op tier at least in Masters if you somehow managed to actually get 2 other friends to play with those high difficulty battles can actually push you to play what the game wants to consider is well. Here there is literally nothing to take from. It's just people nuking with their level 100 pokemon that they got with 0 effort because this game just shits exp and rare candies at you. Even the Battle Tower gives you dozens of candies after like 4 battles.

They are when you're early in the game and you get 1-3 star raids. Later on when you can only get 4 and 5 star raids they become complete cancer because the AI teams are almost invariably composed of at least one or two utterly useless members and it gets to the point where you can struggle to win the thing. Online raids are fun when they work, but 90% of the time either no-one connects to you and when you try to connect to them you get one of a multitude of errors and it fails.

If you don't have friends it will be extremely difficult at times. Due to the shields the raidmons get they'll knock out your NPC team mates 4 times and end the battle pretty quickly.

I'm soloing with NPCs because Eternatus is one big rape-canon. Only issue I've had is a 5* malamar. Everything else gets shidded on.

There is no depth to them at all. The only viable strategy is to just use your best move over and over again and MAYBE heal if you can not afford to die. Might as well give every Pokemon specs. The giant mons even remove buffs every few turns so boosting is just a wasted effort. The raids are also not designed around high level mons at all despite giving you more and more exp candies. Just bring a lvl 100 Pokemon into a raid and suddenly you take no damage and even neutral hits take 1/4-1/2 health from the enemy.

Behemoth blade zacian also just deals damage through barriers. Got 2 buds and we have this fun set up. 2 zacians and 1 zamazenta. We swords dance turn 1 and zama howls. So far no matter the boss is dies the next turn through their shields with just 2 behemoths and any attack from zama. Only requires the randomly added player to damage to first threshold turn 1 which is incredibly easy

Impossible at 5 stars without at least 3 people or lvl 100 legendaries
Everyone just gives up and uses those legendaries since they have double damage moves
So it's devoid of any thought or challenge, just use the same move every turn

They're cool, but there need to be some specifically designed for Lv. 50/100 and that force you to Lv. 50/100 like the Battle Tower does. The mechanics are surprisingly well implemented and going on with a well prepared team is fun, as well as just trying different strats.
