History will remember us as the good guys in the end. When Gen 9 is full of micro transactions and DLC the same people who ruined the series will be asking why. At least showdown still exists.

for example: Prior to the upcoming Episode 9 of Star Wars, journalists were praising the shlock that Rian Johnson, JJ Abrams, and Kathleen Kennedy called Star Wars despite the obviously terrible writing, the hamfisted "homages", outright character rewrites, etc.
now while these journalists told fans of SW that didn't like Disney's iteration bigots, sexists, etc. they were watching Game of Thrones and cared deeply about the characters and lore of the TV show. Fast forward to Season 8 and even the journalists were outraged that characters were practically rewritten, haphazard writing, and overall bad product.

in conclusion, the journalists and shills alike will praise the game because they don't actually care about it's quality. If it was something they were heavily invested in, they would be very critical of the product instead of passing it off as "fan entitlement".

then I would still be as livid as I am now, as it shows their overall incompetence at producing a quality product on a much more powerful system despite their previous excuse being that it was on the 3DS. What was your point? A hypothetical world where they absolutely had to make the cuts to release a shitty game? Regardless of what they cut, the end product was still bad. What's worse is we know for a fact they didn't have to cut the features they did.

Can't wait until Home is announced as a paid service that is just bank 2.0 and maybe if they're scummy enough, GTS. lf they cut GTS from mainline games to add it to Home. shills would pay for the games, online, Home and will still defend it.
Then come D/P remakes, shit compatibility with battles/trades due to having different mons, battle maison/tower/tree again over the battle frontier, still easy as hell, probably ruin dungeons like what they did to ORAS.
We can only hope that GF will put more than minimal effort but that's a longshot.
