So far the conflict is about how well Sword and Shield sell. But the actual goals of both sides are different.
The Supporter/Shill side wants the game to succeed because they think GameFreak will continue to make games with less content and simplified. They don't care about pokemon as videogames but as a franchise to buy merchandise or look at derivated porn. They see the other side as 'entitled' and care also about GameFreak employees and their working conditions.
The Detractor/Dexcel side wants the game to flop because they think GameFreak will put omre effort in the next games and the remakes, third version or even gen 9 will be of a higher quality and have more content. They don't care about the working conditions of GameFreaks employees and some wish that the company fire certain workers for being "incompetent".
So, which side do you think will wind at the end? And how sales are going to affect the winning side?
