>>41410800I loved the gen 2 remakes but yeah, if you run a full team of shitmons you start struggling at some point because of the lack of experience.
It's not about it being hard, but about the wild Pokémon + regular trainers being way underleveled and the gym leaders + E4 being overleveled.
Like I say, I still love the games. The Gym leaders' levels felt threatening for the player, as it should be. Your team should NOT be on par with the leader's ace, and you should try to run a strategy to beat it, whatever it is.
Setting up on the weaker Pokémon, readying the weather to give you an advantage, wasting their potions and then preparing a fast hitter from the get-go and trying to revenge kill the last Pokémon. Everyone says the game are easy yet they spam revives and full restores until they win.
