>>41418861I sort of agree. For several years I was a volcel because I loathed the idea of casual sex or doing it with literally anyone just because I could. To me, sex is strongly correlated to love and I was willing to wait as long as I had to. I did eventually find someone who genuinely made me happy and after a year of being together we both lost our virginity to each other. It was awkward and weird, but also very romantic and we laughed a lot, all because it was with someone we loved. It's been 6 years and we're still together, we still love each other a lot and sex is honestly really nice, because we understand and care for each other. So to me being a virgin late in life is actually a good thing, and having it for the hell of it is awful advice and something one shouldn't seek. I think the whole marriage thing is mostly optional, but I do strongly recommend waiting for the right one, and when you do find them, wait a bit more so your love can flourish and sex is more meaningful.
