even if they want to include them they have 2-5 generations to figure it out given they will never include all the pokemon again, will probably rotate almost all of them in each gen to avoid overlap, and will add ~80 new mons in each gen.
of course this is all assuming the regional variants aren't just another gimmick that gets axed because please understand
