Thinking about it now...
Gen 4 was honestly the best. It's speed was obviously not the best, but aside from that, It really didn't get better then this, did it?

you should play Renegade Platinum. it comes with a speed up patch. you also get the running shoes and the bike immediately as it should be because fuck waiting for retard NPCs finishing their shit dialogue.

Gen 4 had the most changes from its predecessor. No other gen even comes close with all the new features added. Gen 4 was easily the best in many ways.

Gen 5 was ambitious in some areas but Gen 4 was clearly where Gamefreak blew their creative load.

I loved having to carry seven HMs on my team at all times! I also loved that they added Defog, a move completely and utterly worthless in battle during its introductory gen, and was only used twice!
