Played it. Legitimately think it's the weakest entry in the series since RBY. New pokemon aren't bad, QoL improvements are legit impressive, but overall it's a weak game - the story's a bit bare and you're overleveled, the postgame's weak, finding g-maxes is a huge pain in the ass.

As expected it’s still a fun game but mediocre in almost every aspect, and given that it’s got a great deal less content than pretty much every other Pokémon game from the past decade, the 50% price hike means it’s absolutely not worth buying at full price. I wouldn’t even recommend buying it new to the biggest Pokémon fan, it’s simply not an acceptable asking price for what you get. In a vacuum the game is just mediocre, but when you take into account the rest of the series and the fact that Pokémon is the biggest media franchise of all time and backed by three corporations who are worth multiple billions each, this game is a fucking train wreck. The controversy and hate that these games are getting is 100% justified, there’s zero excuse for their flaws other than incompetence and laziness.

In a vacuum these games would be 2/5 but when you look at the big picture they don’t deserve even that.

Have you played XY?
>Has a larger regional dex+national dex
>Has the GTS
>Has more routes
>Takes longer to complete (at the hands of normal people. Not people who leave their switch on over night before the first gym)
>Has more dungeons (which SWSH doesn’t even have)
>Has a longer post game episode
>Has the option to turn off the EXP share
>Has ridable Pokemon
>Has an E4 (although the second weakest, it at least exists)
>Has more battle modes/bosses for the battle tower clone

The only content I can think of that SWSH has is more cutscenes and more game breaking glitches.

Unless they just don't really want to bother with a thread like this, which is essentially just a "that thing you bought is garbage and you should feel bad"
I finished it, and it's alright, so I voted "Finished it but meh"
It's got some cool stuff, and it's got some very lame and unfinished/incomplete stuff
