Back in hs I was pretty open w what kind of stuff I liked (Pokémon etc) but I knew when to talk about that shit and when not to, Managed to have a lot of friends, 8/10 girlfriend for a year that even got into pokemon cause of me (not a casual who just liked eevee and friends, more or less became a legitimate fan) Meanwhile I had friend groups who if they were w normies they wouldn’t really know what else to talk about other than league, Pokémon etc. also helps to just not be an awkward fuck which even I’m guilty of sometimes
