I think the ball choice when catching raids Pokemon is just a cosmetic choice. From what I understand it's always a 10% catch rate for 5* Gigantamax Pokemon.

You get a 100 percent catch rate as host, so long as it isn’t an event giga, such as corviknight, sandaconda, centiskorch, dreadnaw, or butterfree.

One of my first raids was a G-max Orbeetle. It broke out of the ball instantly and I haven't seen one since.

The ones I listed are events. Any giga other than the ones I listed is 100 percent capture for host. You can save scum to give your guests extra attempts. Sorry for the shitty commas in the first post, I just woke up
