ok let me rephrase it in a more understandable way if the games had full dex but nothing else added they would still be shit, now if they improved the story the pacing the routes added good dungeons fixed the bugs and online and added proper postgame but the dex was still cut we would have great games, the dex cut literally matters shit compared to the rest of the game

They said they would never half the full Dex in New games ever again so I'd say that would be a good thing because the fans made them reconsider, however I do agree that this would make everyone excuse a subpar game. However it's always been 1 step forward 2 steps back, a good example is we had the photo booth feature with way more features in gen 7 and now it's been reduced in gen 8

I'd argue the dex cut is just another symptom of whatever the fuck went wrong during development, just like the other issues. The game could have a full dex and great animations but the same shitty story, it could have a great story and a full dex but still have garbage graphics--one issue does not make a bad game, but a whole bunch of them at once almost guarantees it. Plus the dex cut just took center stage because that was pretty much all we knew about the game outside of the one or two gameplay promos and promised-but-unseen features for fucking months
