How strict are you about breeding competitive mons? Do they have to have 5 perfect IVs in the stat you want or do you call it a day if one of them is pretty good?

5ivs, and the one iv that isn’t 31 needs to be in an irrelevant stat. I don’t need to be autistic about natures this gen because of mints, but in a general sens I believe that if you’re going to go through the trouble of building a competitive team you should do it correctly.

Very. I have Perfect 14s. Seven Pokémon which combined cover all egg groups. One set is 31 IVs across all stats for Physical Sweepers and one set is the same except a 0 in Attack for confusion damage on Special Sweepers. I keep breeding until I have them perfect for Specials and perfect in everything except Sp Att for physicals.

I haven’t gotten around to making a set with 0 in Speed, but since some of the P14s didn’t make it into G8 it doesn’t matter, I’m going to have to make up for the cut one anyways.

IVs never meant much to me, and even in the few cases I felt like they fucked me over (finding out a Scizor I'd been using was 0 Attack IVs), that doesn't matter anymore thanks to Hyper Training.

Breeding is all about moves, nature and hidden ability combinations for me.

I actually dont mind breeding for a Nature because once you get it, you're good. My process usually is:

Ability
Nature
Egg Moves (if needed)
IVs
