Too bad Carkoal is litterally the worst ugliest design i've ever seen for any Pokemon (And i never thought they'd do worse than Mr. Mime, who is not only topped here but also slightly redemeed by his decent looking Galar form)

And of course Rolycoaly is the biggest waste of potential ever, call me a Trainfag all you like.

I know i should judge a Pokemon stage by stage and not be influenced by outside shit but i just cannot shake the feeling. This guy's line is the biggest disappointment-mon of the gen for me

I agree with normal Coalossal, which doesn't do that much thematically, but at least the gigantamax form is a coal furnace/volcano. Carkoal's box body becoming a furnace and the coal pile spilling over like it's a lava flow is a fair enough progression imo.

I just wish they kept the wheel legs theming, coal monster is a nice idea but we have enough kaijumons in pokemon, and I just want a fast rock type that looks like a rock type.

This is terrible sure but just needs a headswap to be passable, plus it had zero build-up or anticipation like Carkaol did so i don't really care if boring ice-penguin is boring and looks shit, they already made a good ice penguin as well with a slightly more creative Santa-theme so you have that at least
