Don't you understand that?
Pokemon attracts so many casuals and normies that will buy literally anything with the pokemon name on it that the games will always sell well no matter what.
Nothing we or anyone could've done would've stopped that from happening.
The only thing to do is to sit back and watch the franchise burn to the ground.

Probably wishful thinking here, but there is the possibility that the subsequent release is where we see the dip in sales. People buy these games without knowing any better, get disappointed, and the next game is what they skip out on.

Don't think this is extremely likely, but I think it may be too soon to tell the lasting effects behind these releases.

the most selling pokemon game is red with 31 million copies
I really doubt this games will reach 30 million, especially before Christmas
