As a MTG player, I know a lot of non-competitive players have trouble with card mechanics. One even thought that regeneration could only be activated at the beginning of a turn (when it's actually an "instant" ability like most activated abilities).
Go into the higher level of play and you'll find people breaking things to the point where the game becomes a race to assemble a combo or vomit your entire hand.

I remember being a retarded kid who thought only DCE could provide Colorless energy, having no idea how you're supposed represent damage with the damage counters, and thinking "draw 2 cards" meant drawing 2 cards on the card with a pencil.

My magic homie convinced me to start playing commander. I bought a pre con deck with Anje in it, and then some singles. It seems the meta is to just use her to dump through your deck for a game winning combo. You can kill all your opponents in a few turns with all the tutors and ramps to lead you into an infinite repeating 1dmg hit.
