Most of the twitter accounts pushing the narrative are bots or brand new accounts created just to say their Switch broke. Some of the instances are real, but it's likely coincidence.
If you want to be safe, just play with wifi turned off (it's off by default anyway), turn autosave off, and before you put the Switch to sleep, shut the game down instead of leaving it in suspended mode (the game boots up super fast anyway).
