They arent a hassle if you know how to save scum. There are guides on youtube for scumming raids. I wouldn't recommend doing the time skip one however because that actually might get you b&'d. If you don't scum the raids then getting hidden abilities is a pain in the ass if you're looking for a specific one.

I don't think you can savescum raids that way. What's in the raid is determined when the raid is spawned, and the only way to know what's in it is to look, which happens after the game saves.

You can scum for red/purple beams but that's it, I think. Happy to be proven wrong though, it'd make this a lot easier.

Purple beam mean a rare den with different and more powerful Pokemon. It's where most uncommon gigantamax pokmon will appear.

5 stars appears to be a requirement to get HA to potentially appear, but for the event gigantamaxes with increased spawn rates (eg. corviknight, drednaw, butterfree) it appears you can get their HA as low as 3 stars.

Unfortunatly no one seem to have any actual data about the HA rates.
