Ease of breeding vs the cost of a mint. If the pokemon you want isn't already leveled or HA doesn't matter, why not just breed a new one?

BP isn't as easy to get after you get to Masterball Tier and you only get 2 BP per win with no bonuses. So you probably won't be able to get as many mints as you need in combination with actually getting items you may want with BP. Mints should mainly be used for Shinies or if you somehow get a 5-6 IV from a raid
