That's just a direct reference to the "Hill Figures" which can be found in the UK. Some are very old but many are recent additions. They are carved on the sides of chalky hills and can be seen from very far away.
Now the real mystery to me is in Stonjourner's Shield pokedex entry;
>Once a year, on a specific date and at a specific time, they gather out of nowhere and form up in a circle.
That's a clear reference to Stonehenge, could the specific time and date be June 21st, the summer solstice? Thousands go to Stonehenge on this date every year and watch the sun rise over the stones.
Think that could be a secret or something?
