Why do they insist on making Arceus look even more pitiful with every new generation that comes?

If the DPP remakes are next, the only way I can see them giving Arceus its deserved status back is by giving him 255 in all stats.

arceus is a product of its time. GF probably didn't plan as far ahead as gen 5 at the time

it's like how the third hokage was like a god of shinobi in original naruto, but they kept shitting all over his power level is shippuden

hope so, I actually like that they're using legendaries with unique powerboosts as boss battles. Things like this and the totem battles from S/M should be implemented more throughout the games

They established as far back as gen 4 that Arceus isn't operating at full capacity because he wanted to share his power with other Pokemon, so he created the plates to dump some of his strength into. So they don't gotta explain why everything seems to be stronger than him.

Arceus was made in a time when gamefreak gave at least a bit of a shit about balance, yeah he has a stupid high total but his stats are all the same so it doesn't feel that strong

I'm more of a Ghetsis advocate, a Pokemon of legend is still a Pokemon, if anything they should make him defensive or lock his form in the same way they did eternatus for him to be a cool boss but nothing else.

Ice types are immune to Sheer Cold, meaning it's completely safe from OHKOs.
On side note, in Conquest Arceus has Omnipotent which is basically typeless Judgment plus three actual abilities from the game (chance to evade attacks, slow health regen and terrain movement regardless of elevation difference)

It was inevitable.
Pokemon is in a constant state of power creep, you can't just make one pokemon and proclaim it a god and strongest creature.
They put themselves in a corner and shouldn't have created Arceus in the first place.

Rock is effective against so many times it thriumps its resistances.

Part of the reason why edge quake is aeesome and a potential fast rock/fire type would be broken.

In order to know if rock will be effective or not, you have to multiply every number in the rock row
The 0.5x and 2x cancel out, except for a 2x that remains, that's the one that results in the net weakness

The BST won't change.
It's simply get the Omnitype ability.
It gains stab on all attacks and when attacked, it'll change to the type that resists said attack best, becoming a Pure type for immunities, and a random dual type for types without immunities that allows it to 4x resist.

It'll be immune to any status condition butt Hypnosis/Dark void based Sleep or Confusion becaudse it'll change to the appropriate type to counter all others, and totally immune to Prankster type attacks.

It's the version of Eternatus you fight at the end of the story. You can't actually acquire it, and its stats are inflated because it's in a raid battle.

Rock, Fighting, and Ground have less resistances than things weak to them, however Fighting and Ground have Ghost and Flying that make them unable to hit a Pokemon with all typings
