The issue here is Masuda claimed the entirety of the models were corrupted and/or couldn't be reused in any capacity in SS. This is one of the excuses he gave for cutting the dex.
However, as you can see in the comparisons you've provided, parts of the mesh are 100% identical to models from previous games. This is a logistical impossibility if what Masuda says is the truth. If Masuda were telling the truth, it wouldn't matter what kind of altercations you made to previously existing models. For that matter, it doesn't matter that the current models are alterations, because the fact that pieces of them are 100% identical means they are used from the same source as the previous models.
Thus, Masuda lied. If you can't understand this, then you just aren't fit to understand this type of game design. You did, after all, refer to textures as models. Textures aren't models- they're UV's. You can compare UV's to sprites, but not to models.
