the idea of mismatched fossils tying in with real mixups is a funny reference. the end result of what we were given doesn't visually look as good as the idea was originally thought out to be on paper, but that's the point of the designs. I've come to terms that the grotesue-looking fossil mons are actually top-tier designs with actual backstory. still, I would've loved to have the real Zolt, it would've become my favorite mon instead of sharing that title with numerous others.
