Making noise is a very Normal thing to do, and if you look at moves like Bug Buzz and Boomburst they have more to do with the attributes of their type than sound itself. Sound is fine as a subcategory. Light based moves could work the same way, making an item or ability that effects moves like Mirror Shot and Flash could be a cool gimmick but still neither Sound nor Light are very type worthy
