If they get remakes, then sooner or later people will expect BW remakes, and then XY remakes. Will there be a never-ending loop of remakes?

Le only reason why Hoenn got remakes is because of fan demand. Le Sinnoh games aren't getting that kind of fan demand, so it probably won't happen.

Besides, going off what Masuda said it seems like le only future for remakes now is le Let's Go games.

I always thought remakes were to "modernize" the games and allow for old Pokemon to make it into new games, but since GF has Bank/Home and the national dex isn't coming back there isn't a need for remakes.

There were supposedly plans to make a Z but it was scrapped and the assets were used for Zygarde's subplot in Sun and Moon. X and Y have some cut content that data miners found as well, they could have been really great

My guess is that Ohmori wanted everyone at GF to work on SM after having directed ORAS and noticed that he liked to fuck up games.

Not trying to suck off sinnoh but it is a pretty big region, lots of optional side area's and characters like riley and buck for example.

Either gamefreak would be commited to putting in a lot of work, or they'll end up cutting lots of stuff which i'm pretty sure is what they'll end up doing. They couldn't even be bothered to put in the battle frontier for oras for fucks sake.

I can only imagine how butchered a modern bw2 remake would be if it happened for some reason.

An Emerald rerelease with enhanced sprites and updates to the dated gameplay mechanics... Fixing all the major problems with the game... Maybe adding some new routes or something... Make all the legendary events included in the postgame... It would be kino.
What they will actually do is put it on the NSO Gameboy Advance when it comes out and that's fine too.
