Let's be honest here, most people who are enjoying the game right now are treating it like a glorified amie game with a light RPG on the side
Why do game companies not get the hint and make another nintendogs-type game but with fantasy creatures? There's still a fanbase for the chao gardens too

Those were the best thing about the Sonic Adventure games and they were fools to remove them from future installments

And all of them were objective successes as well. I don't imagine it would be a very hard game to make either. If you focused all your energy on it, you could make it incredibly deep with lots of content and it could potentially last people years. It even lends itself to the DLC pay model for new species and item sets and whatnot

I'd considered that, but we'll have to wait and see. It doesn't seem like that deep of an application, otherwise they'd be promoting it more I feel

I still play sonic adventure 2 just for my chao garden. The stupid gameboy game sucks ass. Why would they make something so complex and interesting only to remove it. It could literally be the same thing and people would eat it up like pokemon Clean up the models and add more to do with them. Just add back animals and drives or some shit when you kill enemies. I loved the chao garden and figuring out how to get the various evolutions (dunno what else to call them). I'm surprised they didn't go further with it, definitely could have made a full fledged game just based on that.
