I need some help.

How do I make an Adamant Hitmonchan?

My attack is always higher than my defense no matter what and I used the feathers, thinking it would bring up my defense slightly higher but that didn't seem to change the value of the stat.

give your son enough Iron to be higher than your attack, then once he evolves, use defense EV reducing berries

So how exactly does that work though?

I used those resist feathers and they didn't change the stat itself. Do I use Iron early on in level and eventually it makes the stat over time be higher or does it litterally add to the value itself at a certain point making def 23 and attack 22 or whatever the numbers are?

Feathers only add 1 EV. You need 4 EVs to increase a stat by 1. Vitamins add 10 EVs. So something like 10 vitamins would be more than enough to guarantee your hitmon evolution.

Just wanna point out that that's only the case at level 100.
At lower levels it can take a lot more EVs to change a stat by 1 point.

Yeah, I'm thinking so too. I just wasn't sure how long it would take to get enough BP. Seemed like it might have taken a super long time to grind it since, I have used the same strategy on other mon who need mints too. I have like 5 mints I already need to make stuff competitive.
