Pokemon will never have voice acting because it's ruined by the custom trainer names. If anything the big scenes like Rose's opener and the equivalent Professor scenes, then the chat on the tower, could be voice-acted but anything involving your custom-named trainer can be right out the window.

It do look like a sequel could work, but I doubt it because story is pretty much completed and there's not many unfinished parts like XY or SM. The theme in SWSH is about future and move on, make sense that Bede, Marnie and Hop already have their future planned since you took champion position.
