Pokemon won't get voice acting.
But what if they did Some fake language short sounds?
So the emotion convey, but you don't drag scenes even longer.
Or just keep the character voiceless

They don't necessarily need fully voiced lines to make things less awkward. Just have the first word in a sentence during a specific cutscene be voiced, along with maybe some gestures like sighing or saying hello and call it a day. I'd like it it if some specific endgame cutscenes were voiced to help convey how impactful the climax is, but I don't think Gamefreak is competent enough for that yet.

Is it because it would take too much space? Nah, today is not 90x, few additional gbs won't matter.
Is it because it's too costly to hire voice actors? Nah, nowadays any shitty low-budget anime, game or even LN can have many hours long drama CDs, there is no way AAA JRPG like pokemon, DQ, persona don't have money for few additional hours of voice acting. Hell, persona 5 have a shitload of promotional drama CDs with characters talking, why they didn't fully voiced the game instead?

Because it's more of a standard thing these days, would be nice for the people that do care about the "plot" and they could finally remove that "basic reading ability is necessary is needed to fully enjoy this game" disclaimer from the back of the box.
