Rock pokemon looks worse with tyranitar being the only good rock pokemon.
Braviary also gets the other great Max move that any physical attacker wants, the fighting type one which boosts attack. Then to put it all together it gets Defiant making Intimidate users extremely detrimental against it, which means peoples' usual check against physical attackers is getting them in trouble. Maybe when people realize intimidate isn't as good as it was last generation, Braviary will be seen as a little worse than Hawlucha or Gyarados, but for right now the Defiant ability is putting in work
