Assume a player from Gen 1 had stuck with the series all the way until now for whatever reason, be it battles, be it the story, be it collecting, so on and so forth... Say some people even brought their kids up on this game... Do you understand how much of a blow or how wrong it is that it's "not for you anymore?" Do you not see the problem? Fans who were here since the start, loving and appreciating the games, being the reason they developed the way they did...and then their voices get cut out by a new audience. It becomes even more mainstream than before, GF appeals to newfags and normies rather than their original audience who supported them from the start...
