Honestly, what the fuck were they thinking? I don’t know anyone that wasn’t disappointed when they realized this thing isn’t water/fighting.

If they have too many of a type or too few during development, they'll either remove a type (like how they changed Stunfisk from Water/Electric to Ground/Electric), add a type (like how they tacked Ghost onto Frillish and Jellicent for the sake of having more Ghost types in Unova), or remove a Pokemon entirely (a stage was removed from Lilligant's line because Unova already had too many Grass types).
