Pokemon BW was the start of all the cancerous things that are plaguing nu-pokemon.
It's just than gen 6/7/8 makes it look good in comparison, also they still tried at the time

A good thing is that compared to more recent games there's not fade out to black for cutscenes, slow characters moving and emoting, just mash A quick for the tutorial sections and they end in a blink.

Lv13 Lillipup can deal with that shit and you won't be overleveled, also Stoutland's pretty reliable throughout the game thanks to a decently wide movepool.

The PokeCenter Tutorial and Fennel can go die in a fucking hole though, thank god the game backs the fuck off after that, like when you have the whole Wellspring thing with Cheren you can just be like fuck you I'm gonna go heal, same deal with Team Plasma in Pinwheel Forest right after that and basically every event after that I can remember.

In 8 the catching tutorial and Pokemon Center tutorial are optional.

The Poke Studio tutorial shit in BW2 is also worse than anything I encountered in SS.

since the fucking day the game released. ever heard of dream radar? you can get all gen4 + weather trio legendaries on level 5 there. I thought this board loved these games, how come no one knows about this?

back then everyone was like "you guys don't understand! these games will be reevalueated by history, just you wait!" but they were bad back then and still are. gen 6 is honestly better, even gen 7, hell, even swsh with its dumpster fire pile of problems was more enjoyable. unova had a good story but was ruined by pretty much everything else, starting with the designs of the mons that will always be remembered as the worst ever (and no, i'm not talking about the ice cream)

They use 4 Pokemon in Black 2 if you play on Challenge Mode.
Download a cleared save file and you can play on CM even if it's your first playthrough.

The real big slog in BW2 was leveling up to face Drayden. I have a game at that point that I haven’t touched in months because I don’t want to go back to it, and BW2 are my favorite games.
