>>41523433Honestly I think it's just a cultural thing, Japan's workaholic society means the last few generations have grown up with dads who are at work more than they're at home, Japanese kids playing the games who visit their in-game home and see their dad just hanging around the house all day would be confused. GF likely doesn't even realize this is a disconnect with how the rest of the world perceives their own family unit.
