if you are playing doubles you could use a steel mon so its immune to poison and use sludge wave, as it hits all pokemon. Also gengar can get nasty plot now, so any pokemon that can make sure he sets up. Also focus sash works nicely on him if you are trying to use nasty plot

Giga Drain/Focus Blast/Thunderbolt

Best teammates are any sort of dark type and something immune to ground. Hydreigon is an excellent option to cover both. I also strongly recommend you get a G-Max capable Gengar for added utility of his MAX move.

Something with perish song to make use of the G-max move. I'm going full ghost squad monotype, so hunting a g-max Gar and pairing with Cursola.

Still PISSED that Gmaxes aren't comp legal, at least for this launch event.
