How does its ability work? Does it always get a fish/pikachu when using dive/surf or is it random? I used cramorant in every single Gen 8 battle in Showdown and i never got any fish or pikachu when using surf.

When using Surf or Dive, it will change into Gulping Form (Arrokuda in its mouth) if it has over 50% max HP or Gorging Form (Pikachu in its mouth) if it has less than 50% max HP. If hit afterwards, form reverts and it shoots out its prey to attack, doing 1/4th of opponent's maximum HP in damage. If the Cramorant was in Gulping Form, the opponent's Defense is lowered 1 stage. If the Cramorant was in Gorging Form, the opponent is paralyzed.

This guy could potentially be good at countering dynamaxing. Dive/Fly can waste precious Dynamax turns, and the ability doing 1/4 damage to HP is really potent with their doubled HP.

His gimmick can ruin a sweeper if there isn't a sandstorm or hail up. You want to run focus sash with it and also use endure.

It gets the Pikachu pretty frequently in game. I've been running with Cramorant, it's really good.
