It’s really annoying that there are blocked off buildings. I haven’t gotten to wyndon but hammerlocke is full of them. Even if there was nothing important in them and they were just set dressing it would be cool to have fleshed out cathedrals and shit.

I’ve heard the complaints of the fans since the games were announced and still feel like all of them are hypernitpicking subjective bullshit, but Wyndon really is the biggest slap in the face of the games. I don’t like to go there at all because of how fucking pointless it is. My best guess is that the Wild area is meant to be the “big city” area like Lumiose for XY, where the player is meant to spend the most time outside of story. The designers also scattered more complex city design across the smaller towns, but it’s still really dumb that Wyndon doesn’t have more to do and are considering the source. Fuck. If there is a third version I bet it adds more in this regard.

Bigger? No. It’s big enough. The problem is that the locations you can go to are limited. They could’ve put a Department Store in the street section since these are the only games that are lacking them, turned the subway into a Battle Subway like one of the NPCs says, and turn the hotel and Ferris wheel into battle facilities. The entire place should’ve just been the Battle Frontier. Why is there a giant Ferris wheel, a giant hotel, and a complex monorail system if you can’t do anything with any of them?

Yeah it felt like a real city
Wyndon was such a disappointment, you can't ride the ferris wheel, can't explore the hotel, park and buildings feel empty, no unique buildings other than battle tower, no side streets or underground dungeons, Motostoke felt way bigger
