Is this the most beloved Gen of Pokemon?
Gen 1 is given shit for being a dated archaic and buggy mess.
Gen 2 has bad pacing issues and butchered the latter half.
Gen 4 is considered by many to have the ugliest Pokemon additions, ruining many favorites, and called too slow.
Gen 5 pissed people off for only allowing new Pokemon and creating muh Turnermon complaints as well as turning Pokemon towards linearity.
Gen 6 added Fairy, fucking the balance of everything, furthered linearity, was all around ugly and has a tiny amount of new Pokemon.
Gen 7 was basically all the problems of the previous generation multiplied with even more handholding and intrusions.
Gen 3 seems to be the one I rarely see sharply criticized outside of memes like trumpets and too much water. It's also the Gen that even Kanto boomers go back to to even play Kanto rather than the original games. If not Gen 3, what is?
