I thought appletun was cute until I realized those "ears" hanging under the helmet are actually its EYES. Yeah I know its eyes are flappy throughout its evolution line but I never actually realized how weird it looked on appletun until I saw it for myself. Completely ruined the pokemon for me.

I feel like people just think they look cute. Also the "w(y)rm in an apple" wordplay is nice, even though its not the most clever idea. And theyre really smol
