Everyone who thought the longtime fans were wrong about this game being awful and incomplete and devoid of replayability are at their wits end.
Optimistic hardcore fans are struggling to find things to do within the first week of release. Breedject threads and begging threads galore, with a unhealthy and unfun comp. meta.
Anybody on this board pretending these games are good is either a PROVEN, ACTUAL shill or just b8ing or staving off their buyers remorse.

Idk. I like the overworld encounters and collection aspect the game. I've finally started shiny hunting and catching everything in the regional dex thanks to the wild area making things more enjoyable

I also consider it the "It keeps getting worse!" generation.
Ever new bit of info seemed like worse news than the last.
For a while after release it was like we couldn't STOP finding bugs -er- programming quirks and retarded shit about the game, from small graphical errors to Switches straight up getting bricked.

ignoring the asinine top half of the pic, people's expectations of the game were high because this was the very first time Pokemon was in a proper console. the whole dexit thing was bad, along with other shortcomings and Gamefreak did an awful PR job
