This, and if anybody says otherwise, they most likely mean it has a good story for pokemon standards. Even gen 5 didn't have that great of a story.

It's not great and can't stand up to a real JRPG story, but it's still miles ahead of the usual Gen 3-tier trash storytelling we usually get.
And honestly it's enough. Pokémon games don't demand a highly complex story to be good.
