What honestly makes USUM that much better than SM

I thought the consensus around here was they were lazy rehashes, not even worthy of the status of an enhanced third version like Platinum or a genuine sequel like BW2

Usum has upgraded trainer movesets.
Sm trainers had like 3 to 2 moves for their Pokemons.
Usum also offers a lot more content overall not to mention the totem battles are a lot more challenging in this version too.
Story aside UsUm fixed a lot from SM.

Just finished the 5th gym and from what I’ve played so far it seems like a mid-tier entry. I’ve heard it goes downhill from here but honestly the game isn’t awful. It’s blatantly unfinished, more than any other game in the series, but it does do some neat stuff to make up for it. The QoL improvements are a godsend, and if you use a rotating team instead of a regular team of 6 the game’s pretty challenging too.

If we're talking about obsolescence then why would LGPE be ranked so low? Nice color palette, catching mini game that was basically like the Safari Zone, and you can have Pokemon follow you again like in HGSS, with the added bonus of being able to ride some of them.

Granted I'm also hella bias since Eevee has been a favorite of mine ever since its first appearance in the anime.

That’s just incorrect though, it’s factually part of the postgame. That aside though I agree, the battle tower fucking sucks and I’ll spend the majority of the postgame messing around with raids, online battling, and shiny hunting.
