Seeing charizard and other older pokemon from gen 1+2 next to the newly designed pokemon is the most jarring shit of all time. It seriously looks like they belong in completely different franchises.
Oldgen:
Detailed designs with complex linework, natural colors that don't look over saturated, more "realistic" monsters.
Gen 8:
Pokemon all look like toys, insanely bad proportions and simplistic linework, colors make the pokemon the farthest thing from natural creatures.
Why did this even happen? pic related, the new starters designed to actually have the proportions and color schemes of REAL POKEMON and not toys.
